In his role as Director, Gustavo leads teachers and tutors. He provides training, mentorship and professional development to our educators and ensures all students receive an exceptional education. Additionally, he works with district leaders to design intervention and extended learning programs to close opportunity and achievement gaps.
Gustavo received a Master's in Education and was named Class Marshal at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Most recently, as a Doctoral candidate, he was awarded the prestigious Presidential Public Service Fellowship. The president of Harvard University awards this fellowship to only 15 students! Gustavo's public service includes supporting literacy development programs at schools within the Navajo Nation. Gustavo served as a Superintendent Fellow at Arlington Public Schools, a school district of nine schools serving over 6,000 students.
